You must be a full-time student and have the UEW and discount application uploaded on your ID card. The discount application is uploaded directly with the UEW at the SIC cash desk.
After the discount application is successfully uploaded, the student will need to upload the discount coupon for the relevant month at any charging kiosk on the CZU premises. If the discount coupon is not uploaded, the subsidy will not be granted.
The coupons are always monthly.
Yes, you are. As an employee (if you have worked the set limit of 3 hours a day and you use the CZU employee card) you can either have a subsidized meal at the cafeteria, or if you do not use the subsidized meal at the cafeteria, you can take the meal voucher back. As a student, you are also entitled to be granted a subsidy in the total amount of 36 CZK outside the cafeteria at the FOOD POINT stores.
The subsidy is provided immediately when paying for goods.
The student pays the subsidized price directly at the store and will receive the receipt with price as recorded at the cash desk.
Full-time students are entitled to a subsidy in the maximum amount of 36 CZK per day (the sum of meals taken outside of the cafeteria).

If your employment at CZU is being terminated, it is necessary to completely cancel or transfer the MD filed with CZU to personal ownership. To do so, fill out form 4 (available here) and bring it to the helpdesk worksite (RE002), and a HelpDesk employee will confirm the Employee Outgoing Sheet.
In either case, employees must contact an MD administrator or have the SIM card blocked at phone number 4603 (if calling from abroad, on phone number +420 603 604 603). Then you must visit any T-Mobile shop where a new SIM card will be issued while you wait after the telephone number and the blocking password are communicated. The blocking password for your MD is available on the intranet in the Personals/Mobile Devices section.
In the event of parental and maternity leave, employees may only retain a benefit MD after approval by a senior employee. The invoice for the use of this MD will be sent to employees every two months to the delivery address.
Older SIM card types may not support LTE. If you need to activate LTE on your MD, contact the MD administrator, who will inform you about the activation process and other steps you need to take.
Limited speed data usage can be set directly on your mobile phone. This can also be done through a CZU MD administrator. Another option is to increase the data package through the CZU MD administrator (information on the price of the data package can be found here).
Yes. The EU roaming regulation relates to mobile devices at CZU. All information on EU roaming regulation at CZU can be found here.

Voice roaming is automatically configured for all MD at CZU with a voice tariff, and calls to foreign numbers are allowed. Data roaming is blocked for security reasons and needs to be set up individually by the CZU MD administrator according to the destination and size of the data that the employee will want to draw abroad.
There are two series of premium SMS messages. The first series includes DMS and SMS payments with a 900-902 prefix (e.g. public transport tickets). The second series consists of audio text and premium SMS messages with a 903-909 prefix (e.g. games, TV competitions, news, etc.). When applying for a new MD, on form 1 (available here) the employee may check his/her interest in activating these services. If the employee wants to activate the services additionally for an existing MD, he or she must contact the MD administrators.
Yes. All of the MDs available to an employee are listed on the Intranet in the Personals/Mobile Devices section. After you click on the “Last billing” field, you will see a summary of drawn services where you can see the complete MD billing history. Monthly billing is displayed on the intranet every 15th day of the following month.

If an employee is interested in an MD, he or she must fill-in the relevant forms, get them signed and deliver them to the helpdesk worksite (RE002).
Can I obtain an entirely new phone number?
Yes. In form 1, check the “New phone number” box in the “Select a requirement” section. When you submit the relevant forms, the MD administrator will allow you to choose from phone numbers that CZU has available from T-mobile.
Can I transfer my existing phone number from a different operator under CZU?
Yes. When submitting the form, the employee must also submit to the helpdesk a transfer code, i.e. so-called ČVOP code (notice number of the abandoned operator). Based on this code, the original operator will agree with T-mobile on the appropriate date of transferring the telephone number, which the employee will be informed about by the MD administrator.
Can I transfer my existing phone number from T-mobile with a rechargeable Twist card under CZU?
When transferring from a rechargeable Twist card, when submitting the form, you will need to submit to the helpdesk the number of the SIM card (19-digit number written directly on the SIM card).
Can I transfer my existing phone number with a subscriptions agreement with T-Mobile under CZU?
When transferring from a subscriber agreement on a person or firm under a general agreement between CZU and T-mobile, the employee first needs to know the obligations toward T-Mobile (minimum monthly payments and definite period of time) and submit the information to CZU MD administrators, which will inform him or her of the subsequent steps.
The connection requires that you activate the account and create a password. You can do this in the personal sections on portals student.czu.cz (students) and intranet.czu.cz (staff).
The Eduroam password must be different from the University Information System password.

Unfortunately, the application will not be available any time soon for the relevant operating system. The representation of this mobile operating system is very small amongst the target group for which the application is intended.

General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is new revolutionary EU legislation that will greatly enhance the protection of citizens’ personal data.
The intention of the legislators was to give European citizens more control over what is happening with their data. Therefore, GDPR introduces astronomical fines for violating the new, stricter rules and orders larger data processors to set up an independent DPO (Data Protection Officer). The DPO will be tasked with supervising the proper handling of personal data and reporting possible data leaks or violations of the law.
Responsibility for the handling of personal data and the provision of information on privacy protection are now dealt with at CZU in accordance with Act No. 101/2000 Coll., and the relevant related legislation and regulations. However, GDPR requests go beyond the scope of Act 101/2000 Coll., and therefore CZU will need to update the rector’s measure RULES FOR PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION from 2008 for ensuring privacy and protection of personal data so that they respect all GDPR requests.
All persons involved in the processing of personal data should be suitably informed of the updated rules. Compliance with these rules, the GDPR and other relevant legislation and regulations on the protection of privacy of persons and the privacy of personal data will require the appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) pursuant to No. 37-39 GDPR. The Data Protection Officer’s core activities will include regular and systematic monitoring of compliance with the GDPR, provision of related information, consulting and cooperation with the supervisory authority (the Office for the Protection of Personal Data). In order to do so, the Data Protection Officer should have such a position at CZU so that he or she is able to be involved in all of the matters relating to the protection of personal data.
Yes. The university should have a commissioner for the protection of personal data (so-called DPO) pursuant to no. 37-39 GDPR.

Yes. If a user currently has an email archive in the GroupWise application, we will ensure that it is completely transferred to the archive under the MS Outlook client. Before the actual migration, we will contact individual users and check with them the placement of their local archive. The transferred archive will be directly available in the MS Outlook application and will allow for full-fledged work with archived mail, attachments, and so on.
No, there will be no change. You will login to a PC or VPN using the same data as now. Ideally, you will not notice any difference in the login process.
Yes. It will remain the way it is now. The transition to the MS environment will not in any way affect the format of email addresses.
A shared mailbox has an equivalent in MS Exchange (or MS Outlook). During migration to MS Exchange, shared mailboxes will be preserved and access for responsible persons who are to have access to shared mailboxes will be configured. They will see the shared mailbox in their MS Outlook client and will be able to work with it there. The user will be able to continuously move between individual mailboxes within the MS Outlook client. More information can be found in MS Outlook Help.
An increase or decrease in the capacity of mailboxes will not occur during the migration. You will keep the mailbox capacity you have now. After the migration and deletion of all overhead and test backups, we expect a blanket increase for all users. The current values are not yet known at the moment.
For the time being, no. Students already use emails in the MS environment, or MS Office 365. Some changes may occur in the future, but these changes will be dealt with in a separate project.
No, the transition to the MS environment will have no impact on Moodle. We are planning to continue using the Moodle system as one of the main methods of sharing teaching materials. Other sharing methods will also be available according to the type of teaching materials.

Software Asset Management
The SAM as a Service project consists of continual evaluation of the license of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague on the basis of data collection on used IT environments and regular workshops with responsible IT persons.
The goal of the project is to concentrate information on acquired and used software and to ensure the license purity of listed software manufacturers. However, this is not the only goal. The collected data can also be used for investment planning, optimization of licensing, centralization of IT services, or to help with setting up and maintaining organization standards.
Data collection on the actual installation of products using the following products was carried out in the project:
Currently, the project is at a stage where it exposed the risks of non-compliance with licensing rules and pointed out the possibilities of investigation, e.g. based on real-time measurement of real use of software. We recommend taking corrective measures, additional revisions and recommendations leading to cost reduction. The specific recommendations are described in the CZU SAM Follow Up Overview and in the CZU SAM Evaluation documents.
In the future, we recommend continuing to focus on the central management of software assets, specifically:

The first and most important step is to enter your mobile number into the CZU Intranet. When entering your mobile number, be careful not to publish it and set it as the primary one. Only such a phone number will be used for VPN purposes.
The second step is to install a VPN client, which you can find at the mini website intended for VPN
Ask your superior to enter a request to create a VPN for you via the HelpDesk (helpdesk.czu.cz). Then check if you have filled-in your mobile number and marked it as the primary parameter in the personal information on the intranet (intranet.czu.cz).
Using VPN, you can only connect to your work computer on which you have correctly configured access using a remote desktop.
If possible, make sure that the computer you are trying to connect is not in sleep mode or turned off. Also make sure that you enter the correct name of the computer to which you are connecting.

The new websites primarily act as a business card of the university and its components for external users. For this reason, there are also efforts underway to not flood the presentations with internal information, and it should be borne in mind that the websites do not replace the CZU internal information systems such as the UIS, Intranet or E-student.
Yes, all of the main website presentations were launched in English on 1 July 2016. Tertiary websites will have English versions in the coming months.

Although the websites have undergone thorough testing, you may have found something that is not quite right. With such a large project, it can be expected that minor deficiencies will occur. Similarly to the entire website, the websites of individual departments are also conceived primarily as external business cards, and the possibility to present the most interesting aspects of what is going on at the department. More detailed information and operational information should be available on the department websites that already exist for each department on the sub-domain: http://katedry.czu.cz.
The contacts database was taken over and each faculty is responsible for its accuracy - contacts, including profile photos, emails, phone numbers, and positions are automatically generated on new presentation websites, and if something is not in order, it needs to be updated via the white pages. If you have discovered such a case, please let us know via the contact form in the bottom right corner of the page, or write to helpdesk@czu.cz.
Although the new websites have been launched from our new server, it may take several hours until the change is duplicated through DNS (domain name servers), which manage the traffic on the internet in a decentralized manner. This may last 4 to 24 hours and this is not a defect, or in other words, it cannot be affected from the perspective of CZU website operators.
The original websites will function in parallel for at least several months on alternative wwwold domains, e.g. wwwold.czu.cz, wwwold.pef.czu.cz, wwwold.af.czu.cz.
